Welcome to Salmiya Indian Model School

Salmiya Indian Model School, is the First Indian Model School in Kuwait, meeting the very specific requirements of a Model School, set by the Ministry of Private Education. Salmiya Indian Model School is dedicated to the promotion of holistic education, human growth and development. This dedication is geared not only to children but also encompasses state and parents. We believe that the growth and development of children is, after all, dependent upon the growth and development of those adults whose privilege and duty is to guide them. In the sprawling campus in the heart of the city, the school boasts of the state of the art infrastructural facilities. Construction of the swimming pool is underway.

Our Curriculum

We are proud to announce that we are following CBSE curriculum. Since its founding in 1962, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has grown to become India’s flagship education board, known for the excellence of its education quality and its service to the nation. At CBSE, we adhere strictly to the philosophy of ‘Creating innovations in teaching-learning methodologies by devising student-friendly and student-centered paradigms’. We impart education with the target of nurturing men and women of dignity who can display independence, creativity, as well as practical ability, and who can contribute to the society in various fields.

  • The innovative curriculum is in use with the objective of reinforcing values, ideas, concept, skills and activities.
  • We follow the schedule and program with a fair amount of flexibility. Subjects taught are English, Hindi, Math, Evs, Art and Craft.
  • Areas of growth and development, Physical, language, personal, social, cognitive, emotional.
  • We equip students with Conversation skills, Motor skills, identifying patterns, observation skills, ordering and sequencing, thinking skills,  vocabulary, classifying and experimenting.

Our mission is to develop young men with active and creative minds, a sense of understanding and compassion for others, and the courage to act on their beliefs. We stress the total development of each child: spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical and strive to have our parents, teachers, and community members actively involved on our students’ learning.

Welcome Message from Principal

It is with great pleasure that I welcome all viewers to our webpage for the year 2017-18.

Nothing on earth can uplift or force our spirit in quite the same manner as education does. We genuinely believe in our students and their abilities as learners and we take great pride in watching each student thrive intellectually, emotionally and ethically. We have a multicultural student population hence we teach each children the importance of tolerance and respecting each other’s culture.

We continue our commitment to prepare student to think big and establish goals on their journey of career readiness. Each child who arrives in SIMS comes with their own individual challenges. As our motto life holds special magic for those who “Dare to Dream”.

In every way that schools are measured whether it is through academics, athletics or performing arts, SIMS supports the need of our students to meet the challenges of the next levels of their educational experience in a safe and rigorous learning environment .Students will be challenged and engaged through authentic learning opportunities that improve them to develop creativity, confidence and resilience to become independent and ethical lifelong learners. While we celebrate the success of our meritorious students, we take pride in giving opportunity to all at SIMS.

We value relationships and connections with the community. We work hard to develop and sustain productive partnership and connections with our parents. Stay involved, this can be accomplished by staying in contact with the child’s teacher. Our expectations will be to consistently make sure you are aware of your child’s progress and answer any concerns you have at any time.

We are dedicated to improving student performance teacher function and the enhancement of knowledge and skills required for working and learning in our ever changing society.

According to ‘Jean Piaget’-The principal goal of education is to create men and woman who are capable of doing new things, not simply of repeating what other generation have done. There exists a thin line that separates a good school from a truly great school, and I am happy to say that in our sixth year, we are moving steadily along the journey to greatness.
